Show us your 'antique' IT kit and win a £1,250 Lenovo laptop

Published: 23 Oct 2008, 04:40pm

What's the oldest working piece of kit in your IT department? Tell us about your vintage tech hardware and you could bag a slim, Centrino Pro-powered Lenovo ThinkPad T61 laptop and also get the chance to win a €7,500 cash prize.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it is a maxim IT managers swear by, sweating the assets and squeezing the most out of every piece of IT hardware until it's beyond repair. As a result 'antique' – but fully functioning – tech hardware is alive and well in IT departments everywhere.

To enter the competition simply send us a photograph of the oldest working piece of vintage hardware in your IT department along with a brief description of how old it is, what it is and what it does.

You can do this by either:

    • Filling in the entry form below and including an online link to the photograph of the piece of kit you are submitting, or...
    • You can send the photo, the description of what it does and your name and contact details to us by email here, putting 'Antique IT' in the subject line.

A panel of judges will choose the winner and we'll also publish the best entries on the website.

The competition closes on 14 December, 2008.

CBS Interactive will contact the winner. The judges decision is final. As per our standard terms and conditions, CBS Interactive accepts no liability in relation to any of the above.
